Fun Cards

Wow time flies!  I have just recently purchased a Cricut Explore Air and boy am I having fun.  It takes paper to another height.  I am getting addicted to paper!  Such fun projects.  Just wanted to share a few!

I have fallen in love with something called a card in a box.  It folds flat to go into envelope.  What a surprise to receive one!

Tri - fold paper so you can layer different items.  Such fun to be creative.

Just a pretty soft heart card!

Beautiful Spring

I have marveled at Spring this year.  With no frost and cold to burn the flowers, it has been magnificent.  I have watched each plant emerge from sleep into life.  We worked on an old cow hay feeder to make a shelter for camping, picnics and just fun around the fire!   Enjoy my many pictures.  It was hard to chose just a few.

                                                          Wisteria
                                                          Native Azalea
Smoke Tree or Granddad's Beard (Native Plant)

Such beautiful colors to dye eggs
Kalea means Joy and Happiness in Hawaii
Each Grandchild painted picture to hang in the  camp house
Above is before and below is after
Looking forward to many a wonderful time enjoying nature and the fun of family and friends!
Happy Spring to all who read this.

Going Home to Virginia

I went home to Virginia in this month of February 2016.  I got to enjoy a wonderful snowfall.  I love the snow.  Growing up it was a time off from school.  A time to play in the snow and go sleigh riding, to feed the birds and go for walks in the woods.  Falling snow whispers and if you listen you can heard each snow flake.  I have been awakened in the night by bings of ice and snow hitting my window.  It was a delight to see the snow fall and to get out, walk around, and take some beautiful pictures and just remember......

Hope you have enjoyed my winter wonderland visit home too!  Never miss the moments to capture your time in your surroundings and life!  Take pictures to remember your stories!

After The Rain

What is the difference in rain and dew.....I shared some pictures of things with dew on them not to long ago.  I think dew is collected from the moisture in the air, where rain is that collected moisture that falls from the sky.  People probably never even consider that.  I told you I was a curious, perhaps strange thinking photographer!  I am always looking for those perfect opportunities to take some unusual pictures.  Enjoy my rainy day photos.

What fun.  Grab that camera and try your hand at those unusual pictures.  Nature is there for the capturing!

After Frost

Being a curious photographer, I noticed how things change after frost has had its way.  Colors change and things are burned and turn brown on the edges.  It is mother nature's way of putting her plants into their winter slumber.  I was at our mountain house and got some nice photos of my hydrangeas that have been touched by frost.  They were quite beautiful.  Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

                                                              Beautyberry Bush

I also got some great mushroom pictures.
