We Have Chickens and Eggs Again

We have chickens again.  This spring we bought some new baby chicks to raise.  They have now started to lay some beautiful brown eggs.  The eggs are small until the girls get the hang of it and they are now eating laying mash.  This is probably our fourth flock of chickens.  No roosters.  They are mean and can crow constantly.  These are some pictures of my grandchildren and their mom in the hen house getting a close up of these cute chicks.

We do enjoy those great natural country eggs!  Here are the girls as they look now.  There are only four which is plenty of eggs for just the two of us.  They can lay an egg each a day!
